Season 10 of the PvP shooter Marvel Rivals kicks off on September 11. This season brings the new hero 'Gorr the God Butcher' into the fray, alongside a fresh batch of content and events.

The new hero 'Gorr the God Butcher' previously appeared as a villain in Marvel Comics and the film Thor: Love and Thunder. Gorr is known for slaughtering countless deities using a formidable weapon called the 'All-Black the Necrosword'.

In Marvel Rivals, Gorr joins the battlefield as a damage-dealing Duelist. Gorr adapts the 'All-Black the Necrosword' into various forms depending on combat situations, absorbing the physical forms of downed enemies to transform them into 'Black Berserkers' and commanding that legion to annihilate foes. By assimilating with the symbiote, Gorr navigates the battlefield freely, launching lethal attacks from unexpected angles. Gorr's ultimate ability morphs the weapon into 'Annihilate', issuing a devastating slaughter command to all 'Black Berserkers' across the map.

Alongside the Season 10 launch, new Pajama Party costumes roll out on September 11. Following that on September 18, fresh events such as 'Jeff's Dream Eater' and 'Find Jeff's Superstar' arrive with various rewards, including hero costumes for participants.

The 'Galacta's Gift' event makes its return in the September 24 update, granting costume coins upon participation. The costume coin shop also refreshes with brand-new rewards. The same day introduces a brand-new domination map titled 'God Quarry', while the latter half of the season sees the revival of the 'Road to Ruin' event. Two fresh game modes, 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Avengers: Endgame', will be introduced. The university student special program runs continuously throughout Season 10, letting students unlock over 10 exclusive costume perks via institutional email verification.

Meanwhile, stage two of the international e-sports tournament 'Marvel Rivals Ignite' commences on September 17. Twelve teams selected across four global regions compete for a spot in the global finals slated for later this year.
