Kakao Games has secured an integrated A grade in the 2025 ESG assessment published by the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS) for the third consecutive year. The company maintained an A grade or higher across all Environmental (E), Social (S), and Governance (G) categories.

The KCGS is a leading domestic institution that evaluates the sustainable management levels of major listed companies across environmental, social, and governance sectors. This year, Kakao Games received an 'A (Excellent)' rating in the Environmental and Governance sectors, and an 'A+ (Very Excellent)' rating in the Social sector, matching the high standards of the previous year.

In the Environmental (E) sector, Kakao Games advanced its management by establishing a TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) reporting framework to analyze and disclose the financial impact of climate change, while also diversifying environmental training for employees. In the Social (S) sector, the company set mid-to-long-term goals for information security and personal data protection, strengthening its global-level information security management system by obtaining international certifications (ISO 27001 and 27701). Finally, in the Governance (G) sector, the company enhanced risk response and transparency by establishing an enterprise-wide risk management system and a new internal audit organization, while also increasing board diversity by expanding the ratio of female non-executive directors.

Kakao Games has been publishing annual ESG reports since 2023 to ensure transparent information disclosure. In March, the company became the first Korean gaming firm to receive a AAA rating from the global ESG evaluator, MSCI.
