After five long months of industrial action, the management and labor union at Neople have finally reached a tentative agreement. This follows the dissolution of the union branch about a month ago.

Nexon announced on the 21st that Neople's labor and management settled on a wage and collective bargaining agreement. The deal was struck on the 18th and subsequently ratified by union members through a vote held between the 19th and 20th.

Looking at the fine print of this agreement: ▲a wage increase pool of 4 million won, ▲an increase in annual welfare points from 2.5 million to 3.6 million, ▲improved housing support for those based in Jeju (10.7 million won for annual rent or 224 million won for Jeonse for singles; 15 million won for annual rent or 320 million won for Jeonse for married employees), and ▲6,000 hours of union activity exemption. Aside from the Jeju housing adjustments, these terms mirror the agreement reached at Nexon Korea back in March.

To provide some context, the union had been pushing for a profit-sharing model—specifically 4% of operating profits—arguing that management failed to fairly compensate staff for the record-breaking success of 'Dungeon & Fighter Mobile' in China. Management, predictably, refused, leading the union to launch full-scale industrial action in April. Following months of overtime refusals and strikes starting in June, the union branch was eventually dissolved in October due to friction with the Nexon union.
