KeSPA is currently calling for applicants for its A and B-level eSports coaching qualification courses, with the deadline set for Monday the 8th.

Securing an A-level license opens the door to coaching national squads for the Asian Games, while the B-level qualification allows you to apply for roles as a national team coach for international tournaments recognized by the association, such as the Asian eSports Games.

To qualify for either tier, you must be at least 19 years old and free of any travel restrictions. For the A-level, you need a solid track record: either three appearances as a coach in recognized international events, four podium finishes as a player or coach (max twice a year), four seasons of professional coaching, or two years of professional coaching experience following your B-level certification.

The B-level path is slightly more accessible, requiring at least one appearance as a player or coach in a recognized international event, or a single podium finish. Alternatively, you can qualify with two seasons of professional experience as a player or coach, or by having two years of coaching experience in recognized events following your C-level certification.

The training will take place from December 18 (Thursday) to December 21 (Sunday) at the eSports Hall of Fame in Mapo, Seoul. You can apply via the official KeSPA website, the official The KeSPA website or the link in the KeSPA Instagram bio using the online form provided.

The 21-hour curriculum is strictly based on the association's coaching management regulations. Expect a mix of theory (7 hours) covering sports governance and nutrition, practical sessions (7 hours) on scientific training and media training, core competencies (5 hours) including anti-doping and sports human rights, and special lectures (2 hours). Completion is subject to passing both written and practical assessments.
