Look, if you were planning a trip, take note: Nexon is closing the Nexon Computer Museum for a temporary hiatus starting January 1st next year for approximately four months.

The plan is to undergo a major exhibition overhaul with a target to reopen sometime in May. Fear not, however; the 'Cafe MapleStory' located in the basement remains open for business as usual during this period.

While the previous exhibits focused on the technical and industrial evolution of computing and gaming, the new direction shifts the spotlight toward the cultural side of things—specifically, how we share joy by playing together. They aim to visualise the bond between games and players using over 30 years of accumulated records from Nexon's community.

Before the doors shut, they are running year-end events from December 2nd to 31st. First up is a cheeky paid event called 'Pick a Museum Book.' You simply choose a locker key at the first-floor ticket office to receive one of the limited edition museum catalogues or magazines.

Over on the third floor, you can participate in a survey titled 'What is your game of a lifetime?' Participants will be gifted exclusive stickers featuring museum collections, and your answers will actually influence future exhibition planning.

If you cannot make it in person, there is an online event too. Just leave a comment sharing your memories of the museum on their official Instagram. Winners will be drawn and announced on January 15th, with lucky folks snagging a 'Museum Book Set.'
