The indie game showcase 'BEAVER ROCKS 2025' has officially kicked off, featuring a staggering 281 games from both home and abroad.

On the 5th, the Smilegate Future Lab Foundation announced the opening of their indie game and culture festival, 'BEAVER ROCKS 2025'. Running until the 7th at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul, this year's event boasts participation from 82 offline teams and 281 online indie development squads.

The venue is packed with fresh titles. You’ll find 'Witch's Garden' from Team Tapas—the folks behind the award-winning 'Hero's Restaurant'—alongside the puzzle-platformer 'Video Editor', which draws its inspiration from video editing tools. There’s also 'Suspicious Convenience Store', a cheeky take on using AI as a core mechanic, and 'XX Logistics Center', which tackles the realities of warehouse labour. To spice things up, 30 international titles are also on display both online and offline, including the digital pet-raising game 'Yolk Heroes' and 'SKY THE SCRAPER', an action-adventure featuring a window cleaner as the protagonist.

The festival isn't just about staring at screens; there’s a whole suite of side exhibits and programmes. Future Lab is unveiling prototype games based on webtoon IP, crafted during 'BEAVER JAM', their collaboration with Naver Webtoon. You can also visit the special booths for the experimental game festival 'Out of Index (OOI)' and 'SANABI'. If you fancy a bit of industry wisdom, Anthony Lai of 'Good Pizza, Great Pizza' fame and 'SANABI' developer Yoo Seung-hyun are giving talks, alongside various influencer autograph sessions.

Don't forget to grab your physical 'Guide & Quest Book' upon entry. It’s packed with exhibition routes, title introductions, and little missions to keep you busy. As you navigate the floor and get hands-on with the games, you can complete these tasks to snag some sweet loot, including BEAVER ROCKS and Lost Ark merchandise.
