Webzen has successfully wrapped up its free coding education program for the second half of 2025, welcoming 50 children of its staff members.

On the 8th, Webzen announced the completion of its 'Let's PLAY Coding!' event. Held on the 6th at the Yatap Youth Center for 50 employees' children, this initiative has been a staple of the company's internal welfare program since 2018, aiming to support the education of staff families.

The program caters to everyone from pre-schoolers aged six and up to primary school students. Whether you are a total novice or just curious, the curriculum is tailored to different age groups to ensure coding concepts feel like second nature. Following the successful first half of the year, Webzen continued to rely on expert instructors and a variety of teaching tools to keep the program running smoothly.

For the little ones aged six to seven, the day involved 'Lab Mice' sessions, where they mapped out paths between mice and cheese, alongside hamster-bot missions to navigate custom-built mazes—a fun way to spark early interest. Meanwhile, lower-grade primary students tackled unplugged coding with Ozobots and OzoCodes, while the older students learned the concepts and roles of robots and participated in a hands-on session to build their very own AI-powered autonomous bots.

Webzen noted that staff satisfaction with these coding sessions is high. With participation numbers climbing each year, the company plans to continue these family-focused educational projects to help their team strike a balance between work and home life.
