Wemade has signed an MOU with Kook-soondang to utilize 'Wepublic', a blockchain-based social contribution platform, to support youth preparing for independence.

Youth preparing for independence refers to young adults aged 18 and over who must stand on their own in society once their facility protection ends. Under this partnership, 'Wepublic' will act as a 'sponsorship matching platform' that connects these young adults in need with Kook-soondang's support programs. Through Wepublic, the company will support the operation of Kook-soondang's official community and sponsorship programs, and use blockchain technology to transparently record and disclose donation history and activity processes.

Kook-soondang plans to promote sponsorship activities based on the network and matching system that 'Wepublic' has built through cooperation with various social welfare organizations. Sponsorship activities include job shadowing and internship support, brewing education and cultural experiences, and the operation of youth-participatory programs.

Wemade held the signing ceremony with Kook-soondang at its Pangyo headquarters on the afternoon of Tuesday the 9th. Wemade Chain Business Division Head Kim Won-sang and Kook-soondang Management Innovation Division Head Cha Seung-min were in attendance. Wemade Chain Business Division Head Kim Won-sang said, "We expect that Kook-soondang's support will be accurately delivered to where it is needed through Wepublic's matching capabilities," adding, "Through the cooperation of both organizations, we will provide practical, customized support for youth preparing for independence."

Kook-soondang Management Innovation Division Head Cha Seung-min said, "Supporting the youth is necessary for our society to inherit traditions and continue for a better hundred years," and added, "We plan to support youth preparing for independence through various activities, including educational support for independence and providing cultural experiences such as experiencing proper drinking culture."
