CFK is set to launch its latest adventure mystery title, 'Connected Clue', on Steam this coming 9 March. Developed by the local solo studio Alpheratz Games, the title casts you as a detective tasked with prowling through crime scenes, piecing together scattered clues, and unmasking the culprit behind a particularly tangled mystery.

Rather than relying on the usual static text-choice menus, Connected Clue demands you actually get your hands dirty by navigating crime scenes directly. Set against the moody aesthetic of 19th-century detective fiction, the game uses a quarter-view perspective to help you cross-examine alibis and uncover the truth. You will need to dismantle various traps scattered across the map to get to the bottom of the case.

The story unfolds in the village of Salomon, following a daring bank heist. The thieves have made off with three national treasures: a crown, an orb, and a sceptre. With the perpetrators masked and the trail going cold, you step into the shoes of detective Diana to solve the mystery before it slips into total obscurity. The game features an isometric 2.5D visual style to keep you firmly immersed in your investigation.

As Diana, you will be tailing suspects and infiltrating locations to gather evidence. You are free to interact with a myriad of characters and objects, and keep in mind that your choices will ripple through the narrative, potentially changing the outcome. Your detective notebook serves as your primary tool to track items and evidence, allowing you to examine or deploy specific objects as you see fit.

Equip your magnifying glass to inspect objects in 3D, turning them over to spot suspicious details. The game also includes classic investigative staples: cracking codes, inputting passwords, and fiddling with lockpicks to bypass stubborn locks. The developer notes they drew heavy inspiration from the likes of Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot, as well as various professional investigative resources.

Connected Clue arrives on Steam on 9 March with full support for the Korean language. A Nintendo Switch version is also currently in the works.
