Lilith Games' open-field idle RPG, AFK Journey, has kicked off a collaboration event with the TV anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. This crossover runs from May 1 to May 28, introducing a brand-new original storyline.

The event features an original story where Frieren and Himmel, while en route to the Demon King's castle, are pulled into a space-time rift and arrive at Cedar Village in the White Mountains of the Esperia continent. Players will join them as they resolve a crisis looming over the village. The legendary mage Frieren and the hero Himmel officially join the game with unique characteristics; Frieren retains her inquisitive spirit—willing to walk into traps for the sake of grimoires—while Himmel remains the benevolent hero who prides himself on his appearance and helping those in need.

Throughout the event, users can run a small market alongside Frieren and Himmel and research Esperian magic. Completing sequential requests unlocks new magical clues and cultivatable magic seeds. Players can use gathered recipes to restore and sell grimoires, earning event coins to exchange for rewards at the event shop.

To commemorate the collaboration, a 7-day login event is available. Players who log in during the event period can obtain the collaboration heroes Frieren and Himmel for free. Exclusive items such as unique frames and hero headgear are also provided. Additionally, a new hero skin for Frieren, featuring flashy visual effects, has been released.
