Look, let's be honest, Pokémon turns 30 soon, and Pokémon Korea is marking the occasion with a massive bash. In collaboration with various Busan institutions, they are hosting 'Pokémon Mega Festa 2026 in Busan' starting July 17. The event, dubbed 'Pokémon Chillaxing Vacance', will take over the city for 24 days, running from July 17 to August 9.

During this period, you will find a special photo zone set up at Busan Station Plaza. Furthermore, five key subway stations—Busan, Beomnaegol, Jeonpo, Gwangan, and Centum City—will host Pokémon Trading Card Game exhibitions alongside a stamp rally. If you collect enough stamps, you can head over to the Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch to snag various prizes at the pop-up store.

The participating subway stations will sell limited-edition Pokémon-themed QR tickets. If you fancy a ride, keep an eye out for the Pokémon-themed trains operating on Busan Metro lines 1 and 2. In a partnership with the Busan Bus Transportation Business Association, some bus routes will also feature Pokémon designs starting July 10, with additional photo zones popping up at Myeongji Transfer Center, Haeundae Transfer Center, and the National Maritime Museum stop in Yeongdo.

For those looking to brush up on their skills, the Pokémon School will operate at Jeonpo, Gwangan, and Centum City stations, teaching the basics and rules of the card game. Plus, for the competitive types, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Busan Transportation Corporation Battle Tournament is scheduled for August 1 at BEXCO.
