Smilegate has released Special Force Remastered on Stove.

Special Force Remastered is a game where Dragonfly has overhauled Special Force using Unreal Engine 5 after roughly two decades. It retains the weapon-specific fire rates, the sniper's 'quick-zoom' mechanic, and the moving-shot hit feedback familiar to fans of the original. Seven original maps, including Desert Camp, Satellite, and Nerve Gas Missile, are also presented with upgraded graphics.

Weapon modification parts and tactical weapon elements tailored to a modern special forces concept have been added. While basic weapons are provided for free, customization based on weapon leveling is offered. New content such as a weapon skin system, a battle pass, and ranked matches are also included. Even after release, a clan system, clan-exclusive new maps, and tactical equipment will be added.

The development director of Special Force Remastered is Park Chul-seung, executive managing director, who is a founder of Dragonfly and the original developer. Special Force's signature movements, such as diagonal movement, ghost steps, and mid-air directional changes, have also been revived.

Stove is offering a download coupon granting a 10% discount on the game purchase amount to the first 100 people on a first-come, first-served basis until October 1st. During the event period, users who accumulate 10,000 KRW or more in spending through their first purchase will be issued a 5,000 KRW discount coupon. New joining users who agree to use the game can receive two types of discount coupons, and 20 users selected through a lucky draw among those who write a review and apply will be presented with a 10,000 KRW discount coupon.
