Sony has streamlined the refund process on the PS Store. You no longer need to consult with chatbots or online support agents; if you have not downloaded your purchase and it has been within 14 days, you can now request a refund directly.

Sony introduced the 'Request a Refund' feature on the 25th. Previously, to receive a refund for content purchased on the PS Store, users had to contact a chatbot or an online support agent via the official website. This process was time-consuming and complex, leading to many user complaints.

The newly introduced refund request feature allows users to select the game they wish to refund from their transaction history and click the 'Request a Refund' button at the bottom. A personal test confirmed that the refund process is now remarkably swift. However, the refund criteria remain the same: the request must be made within 14 days of purchase, and the game must not have been downloaded or streamed.
