Valve has been quietly checking off its radio certification requirements in Korea one by one, signaling that the hardware recently unveiled is finally making its way to the local market.

According to the National Radio Research Agency's official website, Valve secured a total of five radio certifications between November 28 and December 19. The equipment is listed under the identifiers Valve 1011, 1012, 1013, 1014, and 'video game machine.' While the specific model names aren't explicit, it's clear this is the groundwork for a local launch of the Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and Steam Controller announced back in November.

First up, the Steam Machine is a gaming PC running on SteamOS. The original iteration from 2015 failed to gain traction due to poor performance and a confusing price point. This new model, landing ten years later, is a different beast entirely. It packs an AMD multi-core processor and RDNA 3 architecture for a massive performance leap. It supports 8K resolution and arrives in 512GB and 2TB storage tiers, with the added bonus of microSD card expansion.

The Steam Frame follows in the footsteps of the Valve Index as their second VR headset. It's a standalone device that doesn't need to be tethered to a PC, and Valve has managed to reduce the weight to 440g—half of its predecessor. While the field of view has been slightly narrowed to 110 degrees, the jump to 2160x2160 resolution lenses improves visual quality. It also features foveated streaming to sharpen where your eyes are looking. Under the hood, it includes a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and a choice of 256GB or 1TB storage.

Then there's the new Steam Controller, a successor to the 2015 original. It keeps the iconic trackpad design while refining the user experience. A magnetic dongle has been introduced to make charging and connectivity a breeze, and a 'grip sense' feature has been added that triggers the gyro sensor the moment you hold it. It is designed to be compatible with the entire ecosystem, including the Steam Deck, Steam Machine, and Steam Frame.

These devices are slated for release in early 2026, though Valve has not yet disclosed specific pricing.
