Blizzard has rolled out the 5.0 major update for Diablo Immortal, titled 'Bloodied Gem'. It is quite the haul, bringing in a new class, the Tempest, a trek through Lut Gholein, and a fresh batch of Helliquary bosses to test your mettle.

The Tempest arrives as a hybrid ranged summoner, channelling the chaotic forces of hell. You can summon demons to do your bidding or sacrifice them to turn the tide. A cheeky little feature is the 'Soulseeker' companion, available right from level one; you can consume it to absorb demonic essence and buff your stats in real-time.

Then there is the new 'Bloodied Gem' questline. Picking up from the Realm of Anguish, it drags you straight into Lut Gholein, the iconic locale from Diablo 2: Resurrected. The city's gates and central plaza have been lovingly recreated, though they now reflect a city corrupted by Andariel’s demonic forces. It is a grim sight, to say the least.

Three new Helliquary bosses are also joining the fray. Keep an eye out for 'Iradus, the False Prophet', who wields the power of the sun, and the 'Ancient Soulseeker, Bound by Shackles', an ancient demon with a bottomless appetite. Rounding out the trio is 'Glakart, the Night-Blood Deceiver', who prefers to fry you with lightning.
